Basalt has exceptional hardness for landscaping paving, staircases, and water features

Basalt is an igneous volcanic stone of characteristic blue, grey, green and/or plum aerated rock with exceptional hardness and durability. It is suitable for commercial and domestic purposes and is an excellent choice for landscaping paving.

This stone is cut from boulders and the slabs are generally a lot smaller than other natural stone varieties. They average at 1.8 x .500 which means they are more suitable for bathroom vanities than kitchen bench tops. 

The colouring is generally in the dark grey/black to light grey colour ranges, and has a variety of finishes; sawn, bush hammered, pitched edged, flamed, sand blasted and more.
